Airport Info

• The Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico is the main gateway to the entire Caribbean region. From San Juan, regional carriers, including American Airlines' Caribbean arm American Eagle, link travelers to other islands.
• From San Juan and within the Caribbean, travel is usually on turboprops and smaller planes. The major intra-Caribbean carriers are AA's American Eagle Airlines and LIAT.
• Some Caribbean destinations such as the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, St. Martin, Barbados, Tortola and accept flights from North American and International destinations. Carriers vary (please see individual island pages).
