Honolulu Sky VIlla - a wonderful family experience
The villa was the perfect choice for our family vacation/reunion. We were not interested in a beach location but we were interested in renting a place where the entire family (adults) could relax and enjoy each others company. Honolulu Sky Villa was the perfect choice. The location was private, quiet and the views and outlook was spectacular. The villa was close enough to Waikiki, to the restaurants on King and also to the mall. Renting a car is defnitely recommended. The house was amazing - I loved the "Hollywood Hills" feel of the villa. The villa was immaculate and well equiped (except for hairdryers which the ladies requested and the housekeeper delivered promptly). The entire setup made us all feel so much at home. The kitchen was ideal for a large group and the laundry facilities more than adequate. There was abundant fresh linen and the owners kindly invited us to make use of any groceries in the cupboards. The pool was fantastic for just lazing around.

Manuals Would Help!
Blue Wave was a lovely villa and the location was perfect. It is not necessary to have a car. We did well using the speedi shuttle and arranged tours that had nearby pick ups. Shops and restuarants were within easy walking distance.
I don't know if we were just unlucky but we had many issues whilst there, from the lights turning themselves off (when no-one touched anything) to the hot water not working, the dish washers packed up and the 2 hot tubs both stopped working part way through the holiday. DC (Deborah) was very helpful but not all issues were fixed. It would have been a nice gesture to have offered maid service whilst the dishwashers were not working (it wasn't) as one doesn't expect to have to do dishes when renting a high end villa. A user guide to lights, A/C etc. including a fuse panel location would have been helpful. I felt like aI spent a significant part of my holiday directing service men as to what was that day's problem.

We enjoyed our time at the Dolphin House. Unfortunaltley we had to leave. I have already planned 2012. Can not wait to return.

Mahakea Holiday Trip
- TV in the living room did not work despite our efforts to carefully follow the extensive manual.
- The portable BBQ we had to use was old and dirty. We found our food did not cook all the way through.
- Drapes in all rooms were difficult to use and not sufficient for any type of light blockage. A few times the rod in the master bedroom fell on my head if I tugged the rings past where the bars were joined. This was surprising considering the quality of the surface materials in the house. It would be worth investing in full drapery panels and roman shades that offer coverage instead of inexpensive panels that are not even sewn together and are not wide enough to cover each section of glass.
- Speakers in TV room did not work when playing music with an ipod.
- No hair dryer was provided at all.
- No soap/bathroom amenities were provided. Bath towels in general were in limited supply.
- A total of 5 beach towels for a house that easily accommodates 8 to 10 guests seems u

Great getaway for 2 looking for privacy
Well maintained cottage and yard with phenomenal views of the ocean, mountains and flora. A must go back place to stay.
Villa Sunset - Overall Excellent!
The villa was exactly as represented - very well appointed and equipped. The owners have really thought of absolutely everything that one would need. The location and views are perfect. Pool is nicely landscaped and private. Onsite Luxury Retreats staff were excellent.
It was a spectacular week celebrating Christmas with our family.
The villa was ideally located. The ocean setting couldn't have been better. The villa itself was clean and for the most part the kitchen was well appointed. The plastic glassware needs to be replaced, however, it was not in good condition, especially the wine glasses, and it was a pain to be constantly washing the glasses as they couldn't go in the dishwasher. The bedrooms were well done with nice towels and good linens. Although, I was told that we needed to bring our own toiletries, they were provided. The most disappointing feature of the villa was that the swimming pool was not heated. That would have made everything perfect.
This was possibly the best vacation we had.
The Dolphin House is beautiful when you view it online, but it is even more spectacular when staying there! The house is beautifully laid out to accommodate all family members. The grounds were perfect - the pool was a big hit for our grandchildren.
Totally relaxing vacation....
Maui Magic is a wonderful place if you enjoy the beach, pool and being close to the city center of Lahaina. We spent all of our time outside and thoroughly enjoyed it. This villa is really for a group of 4 people max. With the master bedroom as an open loft bedroom, it leaves little room for privacy. The seperate outside 3rd bedroom really helped a lot. Because we loved the location and the pool/spa, the open layout of the master bedroom was a minor irratation. With all that said, I still think Maui Magic is an incredible value for what you get!
Beautiful home in a fantastic location with a superb view
So much better than staying in a hotel. It was a lot of fun for our group of 6 to all be together; even if it was just being lazy by the pool and watching for whales. The house met our needs perfectly and we all enjoyed an enjoyable vacation. The house was comfortable in a way that you relaxed the minute you walked in. It's so nice by the pool I contemplated sleeping on a chaise for a night, but couldn't miss out the extremely comfortable beds. The house was perfect and I would definitely return.
Exceeded our expectations
Our family enjoyed nine nights at the Dolphin House over the recent Thanksgiving Holiday and wouldn't hesitate to book here again. The home had everything that our family of 12 (Three generations) needed: Plenty of space, a well appointed kitchen, great location, well maintained and very private grounds as well as a nice view of the ocean and a great pool/hot tub.
It does get a lot of use so there are a few minor blemishes (funny door handles and blind pulls that don't always work like they used to...), but overall these were such minor irritations that we paid little attention to them.
The five grand kids especially loved the place.

Our Perfect Vacation
From the moment we planned our vacation in Maui we knew it would be special. When we checked in to this beautiful home it exceeded our expectations. Everything about it was spectacular from the location, to the view of the ocean to the pool and spa to the spaciousness of the home. We were met at the gate and taken to the home and was shown everything about the home that we needed to know. There wee eight of us and everyone had a fantastic time. We had very high expectations and were not disappointed in the least.
Garuda Estate is a great vacation villa for several couples or a family. The accommodations are wonderful and the villa has so much to offer. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and the interior of the villa is very comfortable with every possible amenity available. One feels at home quickly but the place continues to impress you until you leave. I think the villa is perfect for families although not ideal for toddlers given the open access to the pool.

Luxury Retreats exceeded my high expectations.
The South Beach property in Kihei on Maui was just as the description and photos advertised---I was FLOORED that it was as gorgeous as the listing. Because we were on a family vacation, the best part about the South Beach property was the kitchen and the giant island--we could all sit around it and visit with that gorgeous view of the ocean, especially during spectacular sunsets. The site contact, Melissa, was awesome! We asked for some special things (a shower chair for my grandmother), and every request was happily satisfied.

Overall we found the condo to be quite luxurious and located very conveniently to the shops and restaurants. Although, the condo description indicated that a rental car wouldn't be needed we were very glad to have rented one as Jonathan suggested. The condo area was generally very quiet and backing onto the golf course added some addtional interest as we critiqued the golfers as they came by. Overall we enjoyed the experience very much. There were a couple of very minor things, however. The icemaker on the fridge didn't work and there was a slight bbq smoke smell in the condo after we or even our neighbours used their bbq. It raised the question of where does the bbq fan vent to.

Truly relaxing family holiday - great memories of fun times
We had a fabulous week. The villa was gorgeous with plenty of space for our party of 3 couples - plenty of privacy for everyone, combined with fun, communal areas which we made the most of - cooking on the BBQ, creating cocktails, lying around the pool, talking and having fun. The views were gorgeous and it was a wonderful retreat to come back to after a full day paddle-boarding, snorkelling, swimming and shopping. A week was the perfect amount of time - not too short, nor too long. Everything we needed was on hand and we are pretty proud of some of the island dishes we recreated including a particularly tasty ahi cevice! Not to mention our spin on the island cocktails. The positioning was excellent with Lahaina and Kaanapali being our favourite spots on the island. The driving was easy and we managed to explore up the coast to the North Shore beaches, Pia etc and then down the opposite coast for some shopping at Wailea.
The family vacation met expectations-the house fell short.
We continue to book family vacations through Luxury Retreats. Experience has been great because of staff and locations, but this house was a bit tired and in need of more amenities. It appears that this is an income driven property, heavy on usage.
Multi-generational family vacation
The Lehua--Villages @ Mauna Lani proved a wonderful base for our vacation.
The house itself was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped. Washer & dryer proved invaluable.
The pool & workout room were just down the road (1 minute walk). The Shops @ Mauna Lani were within walking distance (5 minutes) as was the Beach Club & fish ponds at the water's edge (25 minutes walk). Both the Spa & Golf course @ Mauna Lani were wonderful!
We were able to visit the beach regularly both at Hapuna and the beach at Mauna Kea. we also enjoyed shopping at the King's and Queen's shops @ Waikoloa Village (a short drive South of Muana Lani).
The location of this villa is wonderful for a family looking to relax and spend time together.
Sunset Vista.......beautiful and relaxing!
Our stay at Sunset Vista was all that was promised, we had an extraordinary time.
Exactly what was expected
We had never stayed in a rental house before and after our stay at the Pinapple Pavillion the bar has been set pretty high. With two families the pool and hot tub to go along with the yard at the back kept our kids more than entertained on those days when we wanted to relax and take it all in before we went out. All the beds and washrooms were very clean and comfortable and our host Timothy was very friendly and helpfull.
Awesome vacation in Paradise!
We had a fabulous time at the Hale Lani Kai property. It was beautiful and was in an amazing setting with incredible views of the ocean. We loved the central location on Maui and being so close to Lahaina. One of the things we loved the most was being able to have our own pool and hot tub. We loved the outdoor grill and spent a lot of time just relaxing by the pool. There were fruit trees on the property and we enjoyed some of the fresh mangos, oranges and limes. We had some wonderful quality family time with our family of 9. It was an awesome vacation,
Awe inspiring.
Right from the beginning the choice of vacation home just seemed correct in every way. When travelling with as many people as we did, even though we are all family, there are moments when you just need to have your own space. This home provides that and more. It was exactly like the virtual video and pictures showed. Nothing was enhanced or taken from angles that made things seem bigger than they were. We spent many relaxing and restful hours by the pool but were close enough to beaches, shopping and eateries. We did not miss out on anything. We felt like some of our neighbors, Steven Tyler, Helen Hunt, Kenny Logins and Mike MacDonald, like celebraties. The house is beautiful in every way.
The Perfect Villa
Kohala Ke Kai is truly a luxury villa overlooking the Pacific Ocean on Big Island, HI. The property is in diamond condition and has all of the amenities expected in a villa. When we arrived at Kohala Ke Kai were were met by Audry the property manager, a delightful person, who gave us an introduction the house and the area, including tips on resyurants, shopping and site seeing.
The refrigerator and pantry were fully stocked as requested so we did not have togo out the first night and relaxed pool side.
I highly recommend this villa to anyone planning a stay on the Big Island.

Our vacation was very nice
The house was lovely, the view exceptional, very relaxing atmosphere, however would have been nice if the roof repair had been arranged to be done when we were not there, the pool man was great, the gardener did the yard ever so nice, however when he was finished the grass from cutting was in the pool and my son cleaned that for about 2 hours.The pool was cold, could have been warmer. Other than that everything was great.

smooth contract process with Jay and Kelly's friendly handling of the details for our arrival. Having the baby gear delivered to the villa was most helpful. Tim gave us a warm welcome and the grand tour.
A week of Heaven
We had a fabulous time and were overwhelmed at how beautiful Rockslide Estate was. There were 10 of us and we never felt crowded or on top of each other. The spacious areas to be in were fantastic, the pool, slide and outside areas were beautiful.

The cottage was better than described. Tim was waiting four us with the key when we arrived. He, like everyone with Luxury Retreats, was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The location was great and we loved looking out the windows at the ocean and gazing at the mountains from our pool. We will certainly be back .

We had a great time and enjoyed the house and its views. It was perfect for two people or two couples. The view front and back was breath taking. For the most part, the house was every thing that was expected except for a few minor details. It was centered great for location to all the things Mauii had to offer.

Great location with marvelous patio and pool facilities
We had a great time. That being said I think that the house itself is advertised a bit misleading. It is really a 2 bedroom house with the 3rd extremely small bedroom having a bath down the hall that doubles as a powderoom bath. Really is not up to snuff with competition in kitchen area with limited pots and pans, no service pieces and only 3 coffee cups. No cookie sheets, limited serving utensils. You have to buy all food stuffs as there are no salt, pepper, sugar, dish soap etc. No extra light bulbs, tp and soap.
Most shortcomings are really result of poor property management. We had workmen in the house several days during our week and it could have been done the week after we left as no one followed us.
Luxury Rentals did their job but owner and property manager really did not do theirs. You
should make it clear to potential renters of this prop that it is an older amenity, quirky beach house.
Again, we had a good time but not what we expected.
Beautiful, spacious, perfect setting for a Hawaii vacation
The villa was beautiful, it was the perfect size for 8 adults and it allowed us to have the privacy we needed but also to be able to share time together when we wanted. The setting is absolutely beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a better view to sit and enjoy my breakfast to every morning. The kitchen allowed us to cook together while enjoying each others company. All in all a great experience.

Paradise
Celebrated our 48th anniversary at one of the best cottages we have ever had the pleasure to visit. The house and grounds were exquisite, quite and beautiful. The views were and are breathtaking both in the early morning as well as evenings.
This was our second visit to Bali Hale Cottage and we will return again.
Overall it was a truly memorable experience.

Had a wonderful time at a beautiful home and environment...only this time, lights in
master closet and pool was not working and it was finally fixed on the 4th day of our arrival. We only stayed for a week and we enjoy swimming at night so that was what we missed at night time.

Last week our family of 12 (mom and dad, 3 siblings and their combined four kids 8-10 years) enjoyed a beautiful week at the Lahaina Dream house. The layout of the house was great for allowing both space and privacy to all the guests. The house was both "formal" enough to satisfy the adults and kid friendly with pool, twin beds (in one room) and pool/beach toys available in the garage and lots of space to run around! The sunsets from the lanai were amazing.
Fantastic, comfortable house!
The house was more than we expected. You always think the pictures are going to be better than reality, but in fact, the house managed to meet the high expectations. We had a great time there over the 2 weeks. We did have a few hick-ups with the local concierge, but eventually all items of concern were taken care of.

A Romantic Week in Paradise
We spent just one week at Bali Hale but wish it could have been longer. The house is perfect for a couple, situated in a very romantic setting with breathtaking views and appropriate privacy. It is so lovely you do not want to leave, though many of the most popular attractions in Maui are within an easy drive. We rode horses into the volcano crater and snorkeled at some fantastic beaches, but the best part of our vacation was the cottage itself -- the evenings and mornings spent on our secluded Lanai or in our own private pool were more precious than any of the attractions that draw tourists to the numerous (crowded) resorts. This may be the best place on earth for a Honeymoon -- even if (like us) you've been married for twenty-some years.

The vacation home was an unbelievable indoor outdoor experience. You feel like you are never inside but always experiencing nature by the true openess of this home. You sleep with the bedroom walls (optional but recommended) slid back out of the way and listen to the waves crashing against the lava shore all night.

The home was absolutly beautiful, like being in our own paradise!
We went on many activities, heliocopter, zodiac, zip-line, also spent alot of time at the beaches, jumped off Black's Rock, but it was always such a pleasure to come home. Then, it was non-stop swimming pool We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to spend our time together {with such wonderful people} at such a luxurious home. We also had nightly entertainment by our granddaughters after they were inspired by watching the show at Whaler's Village. We even had a ride on the Sugar Cane Train with our youngest one. Bill and I took care of the kids so our daughters and their husbands could have "date night", on the best sunset night. Memories galore, Thank you for a wondreful trip.
The best VAcation I have ever Had.......
The house we rented was awesome.....beautiful and well maintained and a great location. It had everything we needed, and could not have asked for anything better. The property manager was so nice and helpful, and we called him several times, just for information on other things, and he was so nice. Our conceirge William, was the greatest...I wish i could meet himi in person. he arranged everything perfectly, and even called while we were there to check that everything was satisfactory.

We particularly enjoyed the setting and the privacy. We found the house very clean and the decor was warm and inviting...what one would anticipate if it was our own house. I found the on site manager very warm, friendly and exceptionally helpful in knowing the surrounding area well and guiding us accordingly. He was always prompt and courteous. It proved to be one of those rare situations where the delivery actually exceeded our expectations...well done!
Our Best Family Vacation EVER!!!!
We were so pleased with every aspect of our Luxury Retreats Vacation! Hawaii was the perfect destination for our family vacation this year. Lahaina Dream was amazing and we were all extremely comfortable. The property was beautifully maintained. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The entire Luxury Retreats staff was a pleasure to work with. The excursions recommended by our concierge were awesome and absolutely perfect for our family. We couldn't have been more pleased. This experience has set the bar really high for our next family vacation. I don't know how we could possibly top this one!!

The perfect setting for a memorable vacation!
If you are fortunate enough to stay at the Pineapple Pavilion you are assured a most wonderful time. The space is magnificent from the expansive great room to the each of the individual bedrooms. We traveled with 6 kids and 7 adults and the pavilion worked out great for all of us. The amenties in the kitchen, laundry room and garage made our time away from home feel like we were at home. The pool was perfect for the kids and there was plenty of space to play around in the backyard.
The staff were excellent in helping to coordinate and recommend things like ziplining and surfing that we didn't have to hassle or worry about wasting time researching. The last thing you want to worry about is your accommodations and the staff made it so easy for us to not have to worry about anything so that we could truly just relax and enjoy our time in Maui. We felt very safe, secure and pampered. I hope we have a chance to go back again!

Honeymoon
We planned our honeymoon to Hawaii, and went to 3 different islands. Maui, Kauai, and Oahu. Maui was our favourite, and partly because the Bali Hale Cottage.
It was the perfect spot for our first week after the wedding. We were able to relax in private, as well as get to some nice restaurants with only a short drive.
There was a problem with the internet, apparently the owner forgot to pay their bill, so the internet did not work. Tim Ellis, our villa specialist and Wendell Payne, the property manager did everything in their power to get the net working for us. And gave us a bottle of our favourite champagne as consolation. They were both extremely good to deal with.
Outstanding Maui Experience
We had a great time in Maui and staying at Sunset Vista enhanced the experience way beyond a hotel stay at a lower price.
Peace, tranquility and warmth!
It was so nice to feel warm after a cold spring in Washington. This property is ideally situated if you want quiet and relaxation. Picking your own tropical fruit right out of the yard is a bonus.

Best decision we've ever made!
This villa is by far the best "private" vacation we have ever had. From the moment we passed the property gate we knew we made the right decision. The house was better than expected, a true paradise getaway! Tim, our concierge, was there to show us around and made us feel very welcome. He helped us with dinner ideas, tour ideas and I loved how he was available to us if needed. I also really appreciated the effort made by Marianne to adjust our helicopter flight. We most definately plan to return to the island with our kids and are very grateful to Tim for showing us some additional sites that would work for our family! We are very happy to have found Luxury Retreats...we will always start with them before we travel.

The house was truly a home away from home. The accomdations were perfect which matched the views! Tim Ellis was very polite, imformative and a genuine nice guy. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Maui sometimes just enjoying the day at the house relaxing by the pool, listening to music and playing cards. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and provided backdrops for many photos. This was a perfect place to celebrate a 50th birthday, a college graduation and a high school graduation. We couldn't have asked for anything more than to share it together in paradise!

We loved the villa, lots of privacy, great pool, beautiful place. It was so fun to go out into the garden to pick fresh limes and mangoes off the trees. We loved our stay.
Exceptional Experience

Luxury and serene are the best ways to describe Pineapple Pavilion.
This was an amazing house! As attractive as the online photos were of Pineapple Pavilion, you cannot truly appreciate the beauty and luxury of the house until you walk through the front door. The solitude of the location lent to a feeling of serenity and relaxation. We had a wonderful time!

This was the perfect location for us to unwind
We had just returned from a very busy trip to China. What we were looking forward to was an opportunity for rest and relaxation in a warm, tropical environment. The villa is comfortable, very private, has a picture perfect view in a Garden of Eden landscape. Though private, it is closely located to excellent restaurants in Lahaina. Beach and mountain activities are an easy drive. The weather is very pleasant and the hillside location adds additional breezes. The opportunity to have the villa pre stocked with groceries was very nice. We would like to stay longer but the price for one couple does put a limit on how many days we can stay

The house was fabulous, the Luxury Resorts team on site and on line provided outstanding service 5+++, we loved everything abut our experience and will do it again and will recommend it to friends. The only thing that wasn't great was the midweek house clean-we thought she would wash our bedding but she did not.

The home and setting were more beautiful than the pictures! So serene and peaceful! Setting up this vacation could not have been easier! James did a great job answering my questions regarding different properties and the home we chose was perfect! Having a personal concierge to set up all our needs prior to our arrival was so nice! The airport greeting, massages, gift baskets, limo, dinner at the Four Seasons and private chef were all very memorable experiences and the quality of the services were top notch! Kris, the house manager, is a wonderful person, and he did a great job making sure we were well taken care of once we arrived. Daily house cleaning, which was not expected, but included, was an added bonus! Overall this vacation home and setting went above and beyond my expectations! Hale Aouli is a very special home, and I hope to return one day soon!
Pineapple Pavilion
Our experience with Luxary Retreats was outstanding! We had the pleasure of working with Patrick who was so professional, prompt and friendly. I had reserved the Pineapple Pavillion house for my wedding - which would serve as our ceremony location and reception (held on the lawn.) It was perfect! Luxary Retreats was accomodating, allowing my wedding cooordinator to vist the site a few months prior to our booking, the onsite agent responded to some last minute requests I had upon arrival and the house and setting was absolutely stunning for our wedding. Our family (both sets) stayed in the home leading up to our wedding - at first I was worried about having us all together, but the home layout was so well-planned and large that it offered enough privacy for everyone. thank you Patrick and Luxary retreats!

A Luxurious Experience
This was a luxurious house for us. We loved the villa and it had everything you could need to make it a memorable trip! You provided impeccable service and an experience that consumers want for customer service.
A great place to entertain, relax, and enjoy.
South Beach is a great house for entertaining. We stayed here with a large group along with the property next door, Hale Uluniu. The South Beach house was definitely the preferred house to hang out for our large group, mostly due to the large open spaces inside and out. The kitchen is large and open and can accommodate multiple people working at once. The pool and patio area was easily large enough to accommodate our large group of 20 people. The kids loved the pool and the hot tub can accommodate 8-10 adults with ease, there are plenty of lounge chairs and outdoor seating areas that it was even possible to get some peace and quiet with such a large group. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate the 3 families staying here, 6 adults and 5 kids. Although, the house can be a bit noisy with a large group given the architecture and stone floors throughout. We would definitely return in the future, if we had to host a large group again.

Happy in Hawaii
Between the porch, house and the back yard I hated to leave the villa for activities. Lucille and Tim were the perfect ambassadors for L.R. We felt pampered and very well taken care of. Hotels seem much less appealing after our villa experience.
Wonderful stay at Rockslide Estate!
We had an absolutely wonderful time. The amenities were outstanding and the house itself was perfect for our large family gathering. The house had things for kids to do but was very classy and sooo relaxing! The amount of towels and daily supplies were a very pleasant surprise. It was very hard to leave and we hope to be back sometime very soon! The only comments for improvements would be that some of the showerheads did not work very well. The one in the master bathroom let out a mist and sharp, stabbing sprays. However, this wasn't a problem because of the great outside shower! We also noticed the mouse traps. As an animal lover, it broke my heart to hear squeaking one evening only to find a mouse stuck in this trap. We actually spent an hour getting it out of the trap, cleaning it and letting it go far away from the house. I would recommend live traps, which do work! Lastly, instructions on how much to feed the cute cat! Overall though, we absolutely LOVED our stay!!!
Very nice house but lots of traffic noise.
The house was a very good price. The house would not take much to make it great. (except for the traffic) The house did not seem to have any love. No view when sitting down, the hedge needed to be trimmed. The house had great appliances but needed a few extras like better wine glasses a nicer wine opener pans where not great. The reason I like to rent houses instead of using hotel is because we like to cook andeintertain.
Amazing Turtle Beach Villa
A lovely home. Beautiful view of Lahaina harbor. Giant sea turtles play in the ocean in front of the house. Comfortable home. Nicely appointed. Professionally decorated. Convenient location for shopping and activities on island.
Perfect wedding and family location!
Our week at Pineapple Pavillion was absolutely amazing! The house is gorgeous and it provided the perfect setting for our small wedding. Tim was very accomodating and provided quick service to some minor hiccups along the way. Ants were not an issue as long as you keep food items stored off the counters and in the cabinets. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back!

We had a great time and were most impressed with the well-appointed villa in such a beautiful and convenient location. The home was luxurious but very liveable. It had every inclusion you could ask for and the outlook from the back garden was breathtaking.
Vacation at Honu Kai
Everything was as depicted and staff has been very helpful. Tim was very adaptable when our flight was delayed by a few hours and consequently we arrived well after the scheduled time. Really a wonderful vacation and we loved the property.

It's always a worry when you book a holiday house that when you arrive it is just like if not better than you imagined, well this happened to us, the house was brilliant, the beach fantastic, the pool everything was just so special. All this with great weather, the best chef's imaginable, housekeepers who were lovely ladies and did a really great job of keeping our rooms looking great each day with Sandi and Ron there to organise whatever we needed whether it be massage or luau etc they were great.

My family and I enjoyed the villa, especially the pool. The villa was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, the three negative comments that I have are as follows: 1. the houses to the left and below us were under construction and we dealt with a great deal of noise starting at 6:30 every morning, 2. a lot of ants in the kitchen, 3. the landscaper showing up and was working on 4/20 for 4 hours..getting grass in the pool and we were not able to go out and enjoy the pool during that time. Tim was very friendly and knowledgeable about the home and things to do in the area. We also appreciated the welcome gifts and Easter basket. All in all, our vacation was great and we are hopeful that Luxury Retreats is working out a partial refund of our rate due to the construction noise. One other disappointment was not being able to use the tiki torches;we were told by Tim that they would use too much propane up. This is not mentioned in the representation of the home on the website.
Sunset Vista in Maui...a relaxing and welcoming retreat.
Sunset Vista in Maui was everything we had hoped it would be. Perched high on the hills overlooking the ocean below allowed us to have whale watching from the front porch and the back pool area gave us beautiful views to the hills behind. The house is located in a very tranquil neighborhood so it was a very welcome alternative to the crowded resort areas. The kitchen had all the amenities needed for cooking along with the gas grill on the deck. We appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels and bath robes provided in the house as well as the list of restaurants and the recommendations provided by Tim, the on site manager. Luxury Retreats helped to make our trip to Maui extremely enjoyable. Thanks!

The house was beautiful,the staff friendly and very informative. All of our needs were met from the beginning of the week to the end.
Perfect honeymoon location
Bryan and I had a marvelous time at Bali Hale. The views were spectacular and the privacy was more than we had hoped for! We did not want to leave the villa and go to the next island. Maui is beautiful and the location for the villa was perfect. Not too far away from Lahaina, but far enough away for peace and quiet.
The only downfall was I was stung by a centipede while in the pool. It was exactly like a bee sting, which stings for about 20-30 minutes, then is okay.
I would recommend any of my family or friends to stay at the Bali Hale Villa in the future, and Bryand and I hope to be able to stay there again in the future.

Relaxation to the max!
Hokulani was the perfect solution for stress. Located on the Mauna Lani resort, this villa was fully equipped with all the comforts of home, (full kitchen, plenty of space to stretch out, private pool overlooking the golf course) making it easy to slip in and start relaxing. I liked to take morning jogs down to and along the beach, head home for breakfast, and then use the Beach Club access to a private beach with excellent snorkeling, beach side restaurant, and great sunbathing. The lazy days, mid-century island architecture, and island music in the background, gave me the feeling of being at the beach in the 50s... the simple life where worries fade and all that matters is "what's for lunch?", "how's the water?", and "pass the sunscreen.". Outside the resort, the big island promises a small-town feel with beautiful natural surroundings and many photograph opportunities, but with all that Hokulani offers, we didn't feel the need to get out much. I'll be back for sure.

Bali Hale cottage is simply wonderful. The cottage itself is well appointed, the views are spectacular and the landscaping is better than any I've seen in Hawaii. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would go back yearly!
Review of The Villages of Mauna Lani
This was a great experience. The villa was a WOW factor in our stay. The location was great and access to the Beach Club was a value plus. Other then a few minor issues I will mention below, everything was truly wonderful.
It gave us privacy and quiet at the villa but with the beach nearby.
It was the best family vacation we have ever had. We loved all the room the villa offered including the pool and spa. The villa was beautifully appointed and was very comfortable for the four of us. The views were mezmerizing and activites were just a short drive away. Lahaina offered so many wonderful restaraunts and excersions. The concierge service was also excellent. Whale watching, surfing, fine restaraunts, and a trip to Pearl Harbor were all coordinated perfectly for us. We are already booking for next year.

The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. the downstairs apt was very comfortable for my mom and gave us all sufficient privacy. the view from the house was spectacular!! the support staff prior to our arrival and upon our arrival was terrific. we felt welcome and cared for.

Pineapple Pavillion was beautiful, everything we wanted and more.
Pineapple Pavillion was beautiful, we loved having our own rooms with bathroom. The villa had everything you could ever want or need. Having the pool and hot tub was a bonus as well. I found the area to be very windy so if you don't like the wind it would not be the place for you.
It was the best view and best located house around
The house was well maintained and fit our family well. The teenagers loved to catch up on the NHL on the big screen and the pool was the center point. Especially after a day of adventures. The cabana was the perfect spot to watch the waves and the sunset, and was big enough for all five of us to hang out and read. The automation on the lights and music was all always interesting. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pans and utensils, but could use a few more things like a salad spinner, dish towels and dish clothes.
Thank you to Jet the owner for letting us borrow the boggie boards and we bought an extra one and left there for the next family.
It was a great place to hang out, the view and location was the best on the coast.
The internet was sporadic, as was cable and wii fi.

STARTED ROUGH AS WE CHECKED INTO HALE LUNA KAI AND WHERE DISAPPOINTED AS WAS NOTHING LIKE WE EXPECTED OR REQUESTED. HOWEVER PATRICK,TIM AND MARIANNE DID A GREAT JOB IN RECTIFYING THE ISSUE BY MOVING US TO HONU KAI WHICH WAS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF PROPERTY WE WANTED.
Unique relaxation experience in paradise
My family truly enjoyed the unique experience of spending a week in a luxurious home instead of a hotel room on our trip to Maui. Having access to the additional amenities of a fully equipped home made every day a little more relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall this was a most pleasant experience. We were welcomed by Tim and he gave us a thorough run down of what we needed to know. He was very personable and helpful. We appreciated that the flowers our daughter ordered through you were there and were absolutely beautiful. The house was really outstanding, very comfortable and setup perfectly. Dealing the luxury retreats folks was a real pleasure. The big island is a great part of Hawaii and Kona is the perfect location. There are not enough positive words to describe our experience. Having the pool at the house was big hit for the entire family.

Our vacation to Maui was off the charts. We travel often and all over the country so, that part is not new to us. However, this was our first time working with luxury retreats and it was pleasant from the first email months ago and continued through our trip.

If you are planning a small family wedding and need a venue that accommodates everyone from elders to infants, this is your place. Beautiful home with much room to spread out for at least ten people. Super clean, great decor, lovely gardens, pool and spa, fantastic views - sunrise to sunset. Flat, grassy area for weddings, including a tiled raised area for ceremony overlooking the Bay Course at Kapalua. And in case of rain, the vaulted ceiling great room is an elegant alternative space. So you have accommodations, wedding and reception venue all in one! What a value in one of the most beautiful places on Earth! Beds are very comfortable - all the towels and linens you could ever need. Great laundry room. Large kitchen with loads of dishes, cooking needs, and appliances, wine frig and bar area. Boogie boards and snorkeling equipment right there for your use - gorgeous beaches 10 min walk. Staff available for any questions you might have. Tsunami proof on high slope! Highly recommended!

Peaceful and relaxing Maui stay
Overall, Plantation Hale met all our needs during our short stay in Maui. While the location is a bit away from Lahaina and the restaurants in Kapalua, it offered excellent views. The pictures shown on the website are exactly what we got. It's a beautiful home with a wonderful layout. There's an outdoor shower for use after the day in the pool. The pool and jacuzzi area is wonderful, especially during sunset. We spent several days cooking and making use of the BBQ and enjoying the outdoor dining experience.
Plantation is definitely worth it. There was enough space for ten people and not feel we were getting into each others' space.
A couple of areas the owner should take care off: bathrooms are not as clean as it should be at this price range (toilets a bit stained and shower areas need a good scrub [soap scum in grout around all three shower areas]); kitchen floor peeling...needs to be re-sealed.
The view
When I first booked this I was already excited about it but then once you get there it blows your mind away with the views that you are given. On one side is the ocean and on the other is the mountains. Besides the views then you walk into the house and it also was great. I love the option of opening all the sliding doors. We stayed in the white room and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in. I think it beats my own bed. My biggest complaint was that the pool and jacuzzi was not working, it had no heat, no light, and no jets.
Wonderfully relaxing in a paradise setting with World Class service.
Your entire Team at Luxury Retreats were outstanding. Tim was top notch and on top of everything. Villa was spectacular and the perfect place to relax in paradise. Ocean and surfers were the only daily entertainment needed. Several days we never even left the Villa and had the best time of all.

Everything we hoped for and more!
We enyoyed the comforts and luxury of the South Beach Villa. We were there to host dinners for a management meeting for 10-12 folks and the Villa provided all we needed and more. From the spacious kitchen to the backyard lanai, all was as expected, if not more. The gas grill worked to perfection and we especially appreciated the backup fridge/freezer for our refreshments.
Whale watching at Halekailani
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Halekailani. The Manager and staff were very accommodating and friendly. The property was excellent in design, maintenance, and amenities. We wanted a place on the water with some level of privacy and a heated pool and when we got there the pools were heated to a most comfortable level.
Our villa was the icing on the cake for our wedding!
We stayed at the Pineapple Pavilion Feb 14-28, and it was absolutely amazing! We came to the island for our wedding, and with us were our 2 children, the parents of the bride and groom, and sister/niece of the bride. We were a little worried on staying in one home together....however, this is no ordinary home! We knew it was big...but this is enormous! Everyone had their own privacy, large bathroom, and when we wanted to visit, we went the the shared areas (TV Room, Sititng Area, Pool Side). The villa was very private to its neighbours, quiet, and supplied everything we needed. The support staff that greeted us were amazing, easy to get ahold of, and jumped on anything we needed! We could sit and watch the whales jump in the mornings, the golfers golf in the afternoon, or the sunset in the evening!! We were absolutely spoiled to a new way of travelling and I don't think I could go back to staying in a condo or resort again!!

Our requirements are that we can relax and enjoy each other while experiencing a safe environment for the "little ones", comfort for the older generation and a variety of activities for all. just what we wanted, and the house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. Just wish we had been to be there longer.

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed to live comfortably for 10 days. Luxury Retreats was always available if we had queries. I hope the company can secure villas on the island of Kauai as we have chosen we will return annually to the Princeville area upon retirement in 5-years.

The garden condo was wonderfully well-appointed and comfortable, with top of the line appliances and furniture. Our lanai was where we spent most of our time, though we were across the street from the pool and the beach. The resort had most of what we needed literally steps away. We enjoyed everything about it. To get to Kailua-Kona was about a 30 minute trip and that was not a problem at all. We explored almost all of the island - from the volcano to Hilo to the Falls to Kailua. The contrasting landscapes and the beauty were breathtaking. We were lucky to be able to snorkel with sea turtles, dolphins and even got to see whales on many occasions!

First of all, I want to thank the staff at Luxury Retreats, especially Patrick, Marianne and Tim, for the best vacation experience my husband, Clark and I ever had! The villa we rented in Maui, Sunset Vista, by far exceeded our expectations. Not only was it close to everything we wanted to do, but it was nice having all the comforts of home, not to mention the pool and hot tub! Waking up to that panoramic ocean view was pretty incredible, too!! In addition, the prompt and courteous service we received from Patrick, Marianne and Tim was much appreciated. In fact, due to the incredible service and amenities, my husband and I can't imagine ever staying at a hotel in Maui again! We will definitely be in touch within the next year to plan Clark's 40th birthday trip!!

Lahaina View Villa in Maui
Our stay at the Lahaina View Villa was a wonderful experience and certainly met with our expectations. The villa was beautiful-perfect size for our family of 8 two of which were babies. We loved the master bedroom, it was so comfortable. The living room/kitchen were very roomy and gave our family space. We loved the outdoor eating area and pool. The whole place had a wonderful atmosphere.
It was great to have Tim meet us when we got there with groceries in hand. We were all too tired to eat out. Tim did a wonderful job of explaining the house and surrounding activities to us.

Dolphi House was an excelelnt location! Nice view from the patio and we enjoyed it every day! Patio furniture could have been a bit more comfortable but tolerable. We struggled with the Hot Tub as well as we were only able to get it functional 1 time. All in all though it was great.
One of the best houses and locations on Maui
The house is beautiful and very comfortable. It was perfect for our group. The proximity to great beaches, snorkeling, kayaking and whale watching was terrific. THe outdoor living area and pool were a big plus. We definitely would return to this villa.
Great home on a great island with a killer pool.
Rockslide estate is a great gathering place for large families looking to share time together in the tropics without the hassle of a hotel. The place is in great condition with good onsite managers. The pool is the focal point of the experience, and the facilities cater to those who would rather eat on site than go out. The only negative is the check in and check out times.
Wonderful Experience!!!
We had such a great time. Not only the location and the adventures we had, but our stay at Wai'ula'ula. Our son swam in the pool for hours on end, which allowed us to prepare meals while he stayed busy.
We have already been preaching of our experiences and a couple of friends have said that they are interested in renting the same residence.
We will look to Luxury Retreats for other vacations in the future.

Both my brother and I had been to Maui many times in the past, and we love the island...paradise. The others had never been and they were in awe with the islands beauty. Our home away from home made the experience a 10! Garuda is stunning and we were thrilled to have the house for a week, just wish it had been longer.
The Bali Hale estate was nothing short of fabuloous.
Our rental consisted of four couples sharing the Bali Hale estate for two weeks in January. My husband and I have shared houses with other couples on mulitiple occasions, and our stay at Bali Hale was our best experience. The four master bedrooms were equal in space and amenities, and each provided a fantastic view of the ocean and the island of Lanai. The house was immaculate and the kitchen was the best equipped of any we have ever seen. I think our favorite appliance was the professional waffle maker. We used it several times. The Bali Hale house is absolutly beautiful, but it is also very livable and comfortable. All the couples in our group said they would like to rent the house again.

The perfect rental for the occasion!
We had a revolving door for the 50 guests that were in Maui to celebrate my daughters wedding. The house we rented worke out beautifully for the meeting spot and rehearsal BBQ.
The house was quite comfortable and lent itself well for the occasion. The guests were both impressed with the home and with the area. A number of them came to me after and got the contact information for future reference.

Highly Enjoyable Stay in a Superb Location
We had a wonderful week in Maui at the Pineapple Pavilion. The location in Kapalua proved to be excellent, with easy access to some of our favorite places. Since the weather was bad the first couple of days, we spent a lot of time on the property, and the home was very well outfitted. We cooked many meals there in the gourmet kitchen, swam in the pool and played board and card games. With the golf course right there, the backdrop was spectacular, and with binoculars we were able to see whales from the back yard. We walked to the beach from the property.

The staff at luxury retreats continues to live up to my expecctations. They are speedy, friendly and extremely helpful.
The reason I will rate this stay a bit low was due to the actual house we rented. We experience some minor difficulties.
Marvelous Maui
We had a wonderful time on Maui staying at the Sunset Vista. It was a beautiful place, well maintained and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The Sunsets from the vista every night will be memories I will cherish forever.
Garuda Estate, A Little Bit of Paradise
Our stay at Garuda Estate the week after Christmas, 2010, was a slice of Hawaiian paradise. The home was inviting, comfortable, well-appointed, and had spectacular views of the Pacific. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. The pool was delightful and the home had excellent closed facilities.
There is very little to say that is negative about Garuda. Although the home is no longer brand new, it has been kept in excellent repair.
Maui has so much to offer, there is certainly not enough time to take but a small piece of the island in during a one week stay. Tim Ellis made our stay even more rewarding. He picked up three boys at the airport, and drove them back on their departure. He rescued our evening with a chef by scrambling to obtain an extra grill when the gas on Maui was disrupted. His suggestions about things to do were very helpful.

Our stay at Wailea Sun & Sea Estate
Villa accommodations were excellent, much as described. However, the ocean view from the villa is very limited even though it has close proximity to the beach. Even judicious tree trimming would help. The villa is located on a very busy street through Wailea and its walls do not provide much shelter from street noises and bustle.

Maui Magic describes much more than a house, our time was magical!
This was my first time in Maui and renting a house to stay in. I did look online and that is how I came across Luxury Reteats. I was pleased to see they were a Canadian Company and once checking them out was very pleased with how pleasent and helpful Patrick and Kelly. I was a travel agent for 11 years so know what it takes for the personal touch and I certainty felt special!! All questions were answered quickly and Kelly was very helpful when I was selecting things to do. Everything turned out fabulously and the quality time I had with my dear friends is something I will always remember. I have no problem recommending your company, matter of fact, my nephew is also using your services for his honeymoon and I told him he will be very happy with Tim looking after things on site. Maui is a beautiful Island and the fact we could walk to almost everything was a bonus. All events we did, booked through you, worked out great. Thanks for the memmories, we will smile every time we remember!,
A heavenly oceanfront home!
Our 3rd year at our favorite place was again the most relaxing wonderful family time. The spectacular views of the ocean are breathtaking, as are the whales we observed breaching and slapping the water. On the water, we kayaked and paddle boarded with the mantarays, school of spinner dolphins and within close proximity of the whales. Sunsets on the beach were a nightly ritual. Truly a family home, with every amenity you can think of, we enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. The beauty of Pu'ako is it's peaceful setting, stepping back to how old Hawaii must have been, while enjoying a luxury home where all that you'd need or want is provided.

Idealic Family Vacation in Paradise
It was a great venue for a Family vacation. The property was beautiful ,well equipped and big enough that everyone had their own bathroom and space.
It was ideally located with magnificent views and close enough for everyone to pursue interests of golfing, jogging, swimming, shopping ,upscale dining, and hiking.
We especially loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean and the magnificent views of palm trees framing the blue water just steps away.
We were also especially appreciative of the owner allowing us a late check out on our departure day as our flight left at 10pm. That in itself was a huge bonus.
paradise in Maui
Our vacation was amazing. The activities that were arranged by Kelly were so much fun. Our only complaint were the restaurant reccommendations which I have written about below and why I rated Kellys recommendations a 3. She was so pleasant to work with but if I had to complain about 1 thing it would be this, especially the Luau.
Christmas in Kona
Nice House. Great location. We had a terrific time spending Christmas on the Big Island. The Whales were jumping and sun was shining. Missed having a golf cart to run around the resort.

A great centrally located home with a beautiful view. The activities that were setup for us were exceptional. The home provided ample area for everyone to have their own space. And areas to be together inside and out.

The pictures online do not do the house justice. My only issue was the ant problem. Ants were all over and we were told it was just part of living in Hawaii. I honestly don't mind ants, but they got into our dry food and ruined some of our cereal and snacks. I wouldn't normally mind, but when cereal's $7 a box, I do! The nice thing though was that on Wednesday there was a maintenance crew that came to install new ceiling fans. I told them about the ant problem and they called someone to spray. Unfortunately it was at the end of the stay. So we really appreciate the customer service
Ahhhhhh.......
Honu Kai far exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were met by the well informed and personalbe concierge, Tim. After showing us around he left, leaving us to the most pleasant vacation experience we have had in ages. While there were small imperfections in the house, the greatest one was that we had to leave!

we had a great Thanksgiving in the villa. The pool and hottub was a big hit. The weather was magnificent and we enjoyed all the amenities of the home. THe location was very convenient as well for enjoying Maui. Tim was very helpful and responsive.
The depth and comfort of this home almost matches that of Maui
While the house flowed well, the tone of each room was unique in style and comfort. At any time of the day there was a perfect place to be in the house. Whether it was dipping your toes in the pool as u have a bite for breakfast and stare at the waves just a few yards away or if you find yourself in need of a little peace and quiet offered by the stunning media room, this house has it all.

We had a wonderful time.
The villa was great, especially the pool. It's design worked out well for our small grand children. The wifi was also a big plus. I didn't know until my sons showed me that they could run their netflix account throught their iPhones on the main TV. That kept the kids busy when they weren't in the pool.
It would have been nice if the garbage pickup schedule would have been posted. We could have had more garbage in the curbside container if we would have know the schedule. As it turned out we hadended up with a pile of bags in the garage. The only other problem was the microwave quit after the first three days.

We had such a great time and the home was so perfect. The pool and patio was perfect. The kitchen was so great. We had the best vacation of a lifetime. The outdoor shower was amazing. We will be back in the spring.. xoxo

I was given permission by the owner to have a small wedding ceremony here and it was beyond amazing. Every single one of our guests were blown away by how perfect the place was.

Wish we had more time in Kona but we made the most of the time we did have by relaxing by the pool, playing the putting course a few times, traveling to Hilo twice to see the sites and also to take a helicoper to see the volcano. What a great experience that was.
We were all amazed by how the terrain changes every few minutes and the views and waterfalls were spectacular. This was our first time Kona and what a great expereince it was. Wish we had more time to travel the South end so we plan to do that the next time we come and hopefully get to stay in the same house.
We even got in a Luau at the Hilton, which was also great fun for the kids and even the adults.
We got a good flavor of the Big Island, enough to know that we want to come back again really soon.
On a final note, who ever designed that house knew what they were doing. We couldn't think of a better way to design this house with all the privacy and open space.
Relaxing
The house was very clean and well kept, as was the entire resort. It was in close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. My kids (ages 6 and 3) particularly enjoyed visiting Hapuna Beach, which is a State Park but quite clean. Big waves, lots of kids, and perfect weather. We had been to Maui before, but this was our first visit to the Big Island. It is not crowded and the weather is beautiful. However, there was not a great deal to do for the kids. We therefore look forward to exploring the other Hawaiian islands.

Memories of Maui........
Marvelous Maui: What a beautiful home to spend with our families. We celebrated a 48th wedding anniversary with my parents and Don and I were thrilled to be married on the beach. Everything was perfect. The villa has all the amenities you could want. We enjoyed horseback riding and surfing. When we did go out for dinner the Merrimen's Restaurant and Mama' s Fish House were spectacular for service and food.
Don and I would like to give a big heartfelt thank you to Jay, Lucille, and Tim for their professional service and courtesy. It was always a pleasure to talk to them. I wish all of them good health and happiness.

Bali Hale Cottage Review
This retreat is perfect for a couple who enjoy each other and are reasonably independent when it comes to meals. I think we ate out in a restaurant only two of the evenings we were there. More often for lunch around our golf games. Close enough to the crowd if you want to be there but you must work a little for that. We love the privacy. Sitting in one of the positions (pool, patio or couch) looking at the sunset over Lanai was a treat every night. Everything worked well and we really enjoyed the "country" environment. Speaking of entertainment we highly recommend the Warren and Annabelle magic show. Skip dinner, just the show.

The best family vacation week ever; a unanamous vote from all.
Last year we were on the Orchid property and have voted to return to Kolea next year. The house was incredible; we tried to find at least one fault and failed. The location ideal. We cannot wait to return.
Absolutely superb resort home!
This was an absolutely perfect vacation. 19 of us (11 adults 8 children age 1-8) for a week in Oct, 2010. The Rockslide is first class and the beautiful video available on-line doesn't even do it justice. There are more amenities there than we were led to believe. Media room was great for watching multiple football games simultaneously. The huge salt water swim pool was an absolute favorite for all. There were five golf carts we used all the time for trips to the private beach or to hit the golf course or go for groceries. Again, the home itself is a dream. There were at least 7 different air conditioning zones with separate thermostats. Five huge refrigerator-freezers including one on the patio in the outdoor kitchen. We were really comfortable and not crowded at all! We all would love to do this again! I could go on about the great time......

Family Retreat in Kapalua
The house was beautiful. The location in Kapalua worked well for all of our activities. Being close to the Bay and Plantation Courses worked out well. The pool was ok, but needed cleaning constantly due to the leaves being blown into it every day. The concierge was nice, a little to business oriented and too serious. Seemed like we were interrupting his day when we called and asked a few questions.
While the house was beautiful, it has a significant ant problem. After day one, we discovered ants in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The bigger problem was in the kitchen where the ants got into our food often. We ended up putting everything in plastic bags and up high. Pretty disappointed to pay that amount of money and have to deal with insects inside the house.

It was wonderful. Perfect for 3-4 people. Pool was beautiful. Loved it! Jacuzzi needed to be tended to when we arrived. But once the pool man came the following day, It was great! The location is beautiful. Nice area. Very quiet. Great for walking. Really loved the decor and design of house. A bit windy and cloudy at that location, but we expected that. Nice sheets and towels. Which is important to us. Beautiful landscaping!
Beautiful Home - Honu Kai
The Honu Kai house was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the home was the highlight of our trip. The Luxury Retreats team was excellent and provided a level of service consistent with the high-end properties they offer. The office staff who helped us set up the trip were excellent as was Tim - the onsite concierge. Service overall was excellent.

Awesome Honeymoon
The Sunset Vista was perfectly located on the island and was beautifully decorated. Our onsite manager, Tim, was more than helpful and gave us many ideas that we used during our time in Maui. The only negative with the home is that there were many bugs in the kitchen (although a cheap bug spray bought at Walmart resolved the problem for the most part), the shower spray system in the spare bathroom broke but we fixed and the toliet in the master bath runs alot....we were unable to fix that problem. We took daily walks around the neighborhood and met many of the people living there including a local family who raises chickens and sells fresh eggs...which we had almost everyday! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect plact to spend our honeymoon.
Our beautiful home away from home!
Everything went great the minute we arrived in Maui. The property manager Michael met us at the home and Tim our liason kept in constant touch to make sure everything was going well. We had a wonderful vacation.
Fabulous
We found that staying At Bali Hale was perfect for us. It was an incredibly layed back vacation. Just what we needed. We just wanted to relax and we barely left the house. The location was beautiful no it was qoustanding. You couldn't ask for a better view and the amenities were very good. We had asked about martini glasses prior to leaving and we were told they were there but they weren't. I would suggest a martini shaker and glasses. We jerry-rigged it so it was no big deal but I think you would want to take care of that. I would also suggest a small and inexpensive type of side tables to put drinks on when you are sitting in those comfy chairs on the lanai.
A heavenly experience
The villa and location was wonderful. We had everything needed to have a wonderful vacation. After driving as much of the island as possible, we were so glad we picked this location in Maui and especially this villa The ocean breezes were great, the quiet so peaceful , the flowers and landscape so beautiful and the pool very refreshing. The only thing we think would have been great was to have 2 cozy bathrobes in the closet. Every morning was spent on the lanai just taking it all in over coffee and breakfast. Perfect!
Great, much more than expected
We as a family have always enjoyed Maui, usually staying in the Kei Lani Resort Hotel.
The last two years we have rented a home through Luxury Retreats. Last year South Beach Estate, and this year the Azure Sea Estate. Being that our group was smaller this year the Azure Sea Estate fit our needs perfectly. The house is well appointed, easy access to shopping be it by car or walking. Beach is just steps away, great for walking, swimming or relaxing. The lap pool. smaller "splash" pool and jacuzzi were enjoyed by all four of us. I think this was one of our best Maui Visits, just wish that the rest of my family could have join us. Look forward to renting the Azure Sea Estate in the future.
Maui Vacation at Bali Hale
The Bali Hale Cottage was wonderful. It was the perfect place for my wife, son and I. The cottage was fantastic, the pool perfect, and the property and view were amazing.
A week in heaven
At first we thought that the online photos of the estate were too good to be true, and we honestly weren't prepared for the absolute perfection of this house. We traveled with our two college-age children and they each brought along a friend. A perfect location for all of us. The kids were busy on the beach, in the pools and made south Kihei their home. They went out at night, met the locals, collected information and went surfing, rode down Haleakala (but not at the crack of dawn), snorkeled and shopped.
My husband and I relaxed at the villa, strolled through Lahaina, snorkeled in the preserve and swam to our hearts content. We also had some fabulous meals, both in town and at the house. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking, so after a trip to the farmer's market and the grocery, we whipped up some great meals that we ate poolside, watching the sunset.
Maui is our favorite island, and this is now our favorite house.
We plan to come back!
Absolutely Beautiful.
The house exceeded our high expectations. Absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained. We've stayed in many great rental homes and this is, unanimously in our family, our favorite. While not on the beach, the views are amazing and the location is excellent. The small Fairmount Hotel beach is a one minute walk and the best beaches on the island are just a 15 minute drive.
Heavenly Halekailani
Property was delightful, space perfect for our family, although we only needed the main house this trip. Oceanfront location was the highlight. We especially looked forward to the private location with proximity to grocery, shopping, beach, dining, etc. The drawback was the continuous rounds of people in and around although the written schedule appreciated. Cleaners (delightful personnel) daily should be optional and some days, we just did not want to get out of bed at 9 am. and often were not finished making breakfast. Perhaps scheduling simultaneous indoor plant and aquarium maintenance? Having the landscapers on the property for two hours when we were trying to use the front pool was a bit invasive only to settle back in and have the general maintenance work begin. Landscapers/general maintenance together and once a week? House mgr (delightful) call/text before arriving? Forced us into a schedule on our vacation. Wi Fi throughout the house?
Relax and luxury
South Beach is a real nice Villa, very clean (excellent housekeepers) and comfortable, the swimming pool is beautiful and all works very good! There is only a little problem: the beach. It is not beutiful, there isn't a real beach and the sea is full of seaweeds. To go to the sea is obligatory to take the car to arrive at others beaches (but in Maui you must do it!)
An amazingly beautiful place!
This unit at Hali Kai was our home for 2 weeks and it was always a treat to come home to. We enjoyed everything it has to offer - the beautiful setting and ocean front! It was so peaceful and felt like we were in our own world. Loved the furnishings and comfort of the 2 bedrooms. Loved the lanai and enjoyed breakfast out there every morning! Will miss this special place we so enjoyed. Great location in the midst of all the activities. Was perfect for our family!

had the most wonderful time in this property - would highly recommend and am planning next visit already!!!!!!!! only "negative" comment was the lack of phone in property - we had problems with our cellphone, and, as we had no car due to my being too unwell to drive, we had to walk into Lahaina to make contact with anyone - there are, however, a couple of VERY good neighbours further into the "estate", who stopped and either took us into town, or allowed us to use their landline!!!
the cottage itself tho is absolutely stunning - didnt want to leave and will definately be back to celebrate our wedding anniversary either in 2011 or early 2012.
we looked after the cottage as tho it was our own and hope we left it in the same condition as when we arrived. your staff on island were extremely helpful also and have nothing but fantastic memories of the Bali Hale.

We spent a week at Hale Lani Kai and wished it could last a year.
This is one of those rare occurrences where reality is better than the pictures. Hale Lani Kai is an absolutely beautiful residence. Indoor blends into Outdoor. Fully equipped and extremely functional layout. High quality finishes and plenty of space to relax. Fresh Mangos right from the tree. Somehow, drinking an early morning coffee without that view of Lanai just won't be the same. I can't think of a more relaxing, luxurious destination that affords quiet solitude within minutes of any family activity. We'll definitely return.
Unforgettable
I was concerned that the villa might not live up to our expectations...this was a trip that was planned for quite some time asnd we had several family members traveling with us and we anxiously looking forward to the trip...villa did not disappoint in any way...we have stayed at several amazing places including the Ritz in Paris, the Grand Kepinski in St Moritz and the Samta Katarin in Amalfi but none compare
Very nice home, spacious, modern, private
This is a beautiful, very modern home with wonderful amenities (theatre room, large kitchen and eating area, comfortable bedrooms). The library and massage chair were very nice. The pool and spa privacy/view was appreciated. That being said, there are some suggestions for improvement. The spacious great room is nice, but the sofa is extremely unpractical for any more than two or three people. A large sectional would be better, as there is no room to gather and visit, other than the kitchen table. The room could easily handle an extra sofa or additional chairs. Also, an outdoor eating area would have been nice. Hawaii weather encourages outdoor activites, but there was no where to sit and eat outside. Extra lounge chaises outside would have been nice too, since there were only two and we had eight adults in our group. We also had some issues with all the computerized light switches and audio. An instructional page for these controls would have been very helpful.
Trip to maui 2010
House was in great location.Loved the glass and the appliances and kitchen equipped well.
I confess to being surprised and disappointed that 3rd bedroom was in a guest house.my mistake for not reading your web site properly.
House getting a little "worn",door knob to lanai came off many times.TV cable stopped working.DVD player did not like our DVD`s.
Guest house AC was portable noisy units we were asked to empty every 5 hours!
Gas BBQ would not have grilled a piece of toast so forced to use charcoal grill.
Next door house owned by same owner had work going on.After complaining first morning when noise was bad it was much quieter.But amazes me that it was allowed to go on when folks have rented next door.Contractor was very apologetic.He was just doing his job.
Maui vacation
our usual villa location is in the Caribbean. This was our first time in Maui. The villa appeared to be of recent construction. We enjoyed the Indonesian style and the wood finish. It was well-maintained and detailed. The landscaping made us feel like we were in a garden. The outdooor showers were like showering in a waterfall. The view from the villa was a postcard perfect view of the Pacific and Lanai. The villa was well-stocked for staying home and cooking or grilling at night. A perfect location for nearby restaurants or water sports in Lahaina. We also enjoyed the privacy that the villa's location and landscaping allows. Because of the breezes, we never had to use the A/C. All this and WiFi! A perfect vacation
Wonderful time in Paradise!
We had a fantastic time staying in the Pineapple Pavilion in Maui. This was the first time traveling with our baby and we were also traveling with our own parents and my grandmother! The place was perfect for all ages and really allowed us to relax and enjoy our time. The staff at Luxury Retreats were also super helpful in accommodating all our needs. We had such a great time and it was so hard to leave - we look forward to returning back soon!

We loved the house and the location. It was a perfectplace to be with our family and having all the convenices of home. The pool and jacuzi was perfect for the little ones and the all of us adults. Tim was very nice and really made us feel at home. The house was very clean and equipped with all most everything we needed. We would definitely return again and have already provided information to friends on this location. Patrick and Tim were wonderful to work with and provided lots of great information and assistance. Emma was also very nice. All were very courteous and professional. I was a quality assurance manager for six years and I would give them all an very good rating. Thanks for making our family vacation so wonderful. This is our second trip to cross off our bucket list..its one we will always remember. Mahalo!!!!
Great location, nice house
Beautiful house - the pool was huge, a big hit with the kids. Nice that all the bedrooms had a/c, and the media room was pretty cool too! wish the hot tub was in the main pool area though, and not tucked behind the guest house, it wasn't convenient at all. Location was nice, very central to all the activities we wanted to do. Cockroaches in the garage were surprising, but we only had to deal with one in the house. Overall we really enjoyed the house!
The villa was outstanding
Our Family vacation on the Big Island at the Kolea #14 was wonderful. The Captain Zodiac Raft tour was a blast. Deep sea fishing with Bite me charters was great. The beach golf courses were outstanding. We all had a great time and hope to return back to Hawaii next year.
A Slice of Heaven
Our party of nine had a wonderful vacation at South Beach (we should've stayed ten days instead of 8 :) It was clean, well-stocked and turn-key for all of us to move in for a week! Tim Ellis took wonderful care of us and was very responsive during our entire stay. Our only problem was the neighbors next door (the condo complex to the right of South Beach as you are looking from the street). We were a very low key group and they continuously bothered us about our music being too loud, while we respected the curfew hours of the villa. Perhaps it is where the outside speakers are located? It bothered us quite a bit given the amount of money we paid to stay at South Beach. Perhaps it was the party of 14 who came before us, left a mess and laid the groundwork for combativeness with us?! Other than that annoyance, South Beach was a slice of heaven!
The perfect Villa
The Villa was what we were expecting and could not have been more enjoyable. The family had a wonderful time on Maui and the Villa made for a memorable experance.
A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES
When we stepped through the front gate into the courtyard, our jaws dropped. The house was even more beautiful that the photo's on the internet. Everything was perfect. Everything we needed for a luxurious, relaxing vacation had been provided. Our three grandchildren spent nearly every waking hour in the pool and hot tub. We only left the house a couple of times to go the volclano and to go snorkeling. The best snorkeling was there at the beach at the resort- just need to go out past the lava barriers a little. Our 4 year old grandddaughter learned to snorkel. We saw lots of turtles and thousands of beautiful fish. We also saw a pod of spinner dolphins. This is truly a Blue Vault of Heaven. We hope to return in a couple of years. Thank you to all who made this a dream vacation.
Perfect vacation at Lahaina View
We had such an amazing time on our trip. We loved the house so much that we spent the first 2 days just lounging around and making fabulous meals on the hibachi grill. The view was so incredible that we took hundreds of pictures and frequently couldn't help but burst out with "how amazing" or "i can't believe this".
We loved it so much that all of us agreed that we are going to try to come back every year. The staff was so attentive and provided so many great recommendations for activities. We wanted for nothing.
Our stay at South Beach was indulgent and relaxing.
We were thrilled with South Beach from the moment we stepped inside. Our love for the place continued as ever item we needed was provided for in this well stocked house. Plenty of bath towels, beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys, snorkel gear, cooking items the list goes on and on. The house is in a perfect location. It afforded us an opportunity to visit many local beaches which were less than 10 minutes away. It was the perfect vacation home. Our experience was excellent. Melissa does a great job managing the property.
Wonderful experience
The Kolea Condos were perfect for our family. We had coffee and breakfast on our lanai every morning - the best way to start any day. Our sons were homesick for Hawaii when we left. It was amazing - already planning to go back.

The place is faabulous and we were extremely lucky with the weather. We left the porperty 3 times. 2 lunches and one dinner.

We liked the fact that the South Beach house was next to the Hale Ulumi.
They had beautiful location and we could access the two houses very easily.
It lacked the nice covered patio that the Hale Ulumi had. Not a good space for ten people to eat so for breakfasts we gathered here because we ate in stages.
The air conditioner was a real problem.

From start to finish the whole experience was great. From my initial contact with James and his tireless efforts to find us the perfect villa, to the excellent service and follow through Emma provided making sure no detail was overlooked. She answered every question quickly, thoughtfully and was a big part of a very special catered dinner for my family. And Tim, the on island, concierge was great. This was my first Luxury retreats experience, but certainly not my last.

Our 12-night stay at South Beach villa on Maui was superb! It wa sthe perfect size for our party of eight, well-located and maintained in excellent condition. It truly met all of our expectations!
Perfect home for our group - inside and outside spaces were terrific!!
We loved the home - ultra nice without being "over the top"...really like the two master bedrooms...the tv areas are great, up and down...kitchen easy to actually cook in, and we did...bedrooms and baths comfortable and efficient...the outdoor areas were terrific - used the lap pool and hot top - nice shady area, and loved the outdoor covered gazebo and sunning area...also liked the oversized gas grill - used it too! Loved how close it was to Lahaina and restaurants and shopping...Only issues: in the baths need to be careful with the showers or water soaks the mat...the refrigerator needs servicing - if you put any food in, temperature goes "haywire"...need better explanation on sound system for the home...and guests should be encouraged to use the security system versus being told to just lock the doors...person who met us was "late" and didn't provide the beverages we had requested on arrival...he did not communicate the requested cleaning date time - went without mid-week cleaning.

Absolutely magnificent place to stay!
The Rockslide Estate is a fantastic place to stay! Every amenity, inside and outside, is provided for a wonderful, relaxing, yet fun, place to stay on the Big Island. The house itself is in a great location. It's a great place for groups and has something for everyone...from the great pool with slide and diving board, nice lanai's for hanging out, 5 full size refigerators, gourmet kitchen, big screen TV's, garage full of 'toys' for people of all ages. The golf carts are fantastic for getting around the Mauna Lani Resort area, which offers a lot to do: golfing, beaching, snorkling, exercising, shopping and dining, etc. You will not stay in a place better than this!
Outstanding!!!!
Our entire trip was wonderful. The weather was perfect; the amount of time was just enough and the beautiful villa was spacious and luxurious. Everything in the villa was first class from the kitchen appliances to the sheets on the bed. The dishwasher's bottom rack was wired together which made it hard to put dishes in ( they may want to replace that), but everything else was perfect. We loved having our private pool and the villa's convenient location to beaches, hotels and restaurants. Luxury Retreat's attention to detail was wonderful. Tim, the manager was very helpful and available if we needed him. We definitely will rent through you again. Thanks.
The villa was beautiful and very cozy, made u feel at home.
Hawaii was very beautiful. We hiked the mountains, went zipling on the longest zipline in Maui, and horseback riding. We took some time on the beach and enjoyed the restaurants. The pool at the villa was nice and clean and also warm. The stay was fantastic!
Maui Magic Misadventure
This property has a good location near Lahaina, it's beach location and pool which were the key features on which I made this selection. With an outdoor kitchen and dining area we expected to eat many meals at the house. Propane tanks for the grill were empty and the gas grill was very difficult to light so we had to use the charcoal grill. The pool was nice but was not clean when we arrived and the property manager told me the pool service was to come the next day. They never did show up. The AC system in the guest cottage was not working properly so we had to have portable AC units brought in. These had to be emptied of condensation every 5 hours.

A trip of a lifetime...
My wife and I wanted a special trip to make our 5 yr anniversary (and honeymoon) be a very memorable event. Although we went a little over our budget, it was worth every penny. We could not have asked for a more perfect trip. The house and all the amenities were above our expectations. All of the additional services, which include the reservations, the recommendations, and Tim's personal service at the reception were all spectacular. Everything about the villa was wonderful. The view was unbeatable and it was quite obvious that a lot time, love and detail had been put into this home. It was perfectly maintained and beautifully built and designed. We were greeted by Tim who was friendly and knowledgable--perfect way to start a wonderful experience. Lahaina View was beautiful and had a wonderful view of the ocean.
I felt the house looked just like the pictures and we all loved being there. I would definitely rent this home again My only problem was I felt the kitchen was not stocked properly for a gourmet cook. If the kitchen was stocked better then this would be the perfect house to rent.
I hope to rent this home in the future.
Wonderful House and Grounds!
We really appreciated all of the amenities, like all the beach towels, golf carts, children's "floaties" and kitchen supplies. They were a big help in getting started. The pool and water features were of course, the favorite part of the house! We loved the whole experience!

This was our first trip to Hawaii and Maui. We loved our experience, and The Dolphin House was a major reason for trip being such a big success. The house and all of its amenities were very accurately described on the website. It suited our needs perfectly, and its location was perfect. All of the recreational activities we were interested in were very close by and convenient. Everyone we encountered was very helpful.

Pineapple Pavilion is exceptional!
The Pineapple Pavilion was beyond our expectations! Beautiful, clean, inviting, comfortable, and it certainly had all of the amenities we could ask for. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. My husband and I were in Maui for our wedding, and we had our immediate family staying with us. Nine people total, and still lots of space for everyone! We spent most of our time outside on the back patio, pool, and hot tub area. It was so amazing looking out across the golf course to the ocean every morning. Thanks to the incredible staff at Luxury Retreats ( James, Kelly, and Tim) for helping to put our wedding vacation over the top! A trip no one will soon forget!

WONDERFUL! This villa is absolutely outstanding. I would not rent a different place if we were to rent again in Maui. They had everything we needed and more! The view could not be more beautiful! I felt as if I couldn't get enough photographs even though we have about 1000 (literally). The house is very luxurious, but also comfortable and relaxing. The concierge (both online and onsite) were most helpful. I wish we would have stayed longer.

Fun in the sun
The Dolphin House was as promised. we rented a villa in Cabo a year ago and although nice the pictures made it seem bigger and better then it really was. this villa was everything that was promised. The only thing slighty negative was you could tell this was used more as a rental than an owner's property, there was need for a little TLC. things such as there were tile missing and loose in the pool and a few other things but this in no way effected out time there.
Once in a lifetime Experience!
We had a glorious time at the Garuda Estate in Maui. To begin with, we originally rented the Guest Villa down the hill, but when construction for a new pool was delayed due to permitting, the owner graciously upgraded us to the larger mansion up the hill at no extra charge. We couldn't believe it! We feel so much gratitude, especially since the occasion was our honeymoon. Our time at the estate created a memory to last a lifetime. It is distinguished without being stuffy, elegant and luxurious without being fussy. We loved the vibe of the place, the decor, the layout, the amazing view, the comfortable bedding - everything was exquisite yet relaxing and serene. The place far exceeded our expectations (and that is hard to do given the impressive photos!) 5-Star Luxury in the comfort of beautifully appointed home.

Beautiful place. We had a great time. If I had to say a negative it would be the kitchen and stove and unheated pool. We did a lot of cooking in. I feel bad even saying that negative. But it is hard to say anything bad in paradise. The owners of the house were very generous to open their home. We all fell in love with it. thank them for us

We had a wonderful time in Maui.
Whilst we had a fantastic time overall in Maui we did feel that the house did fall short of our expectations from how it is percieved through the pictures on the web site.
The Master does not show that the bedroom is also used as the owners artist studio which takes away the sense of opulance you feel in the morning when your greeted by the view of the palms swaying and the ocean. The master would benifit from being fitted out with more furniture of high quality when guests have rented. The issue with the technial equipment was purely that after trying to get the outside music system working through an i pod with no success, the whole tv centre needed to be reset by the ground agent so we could have a quick check on the news etc. The only other concern is Ants. We were very concious of keeping clean and tidy but it did not stop invasions in the kitchen, they were also present upstairs in the master bedroom and bathroom which can mean they are never far away from your thoughts.

We enjoy the villa experience above luxury hotels or fractionals due to the privacy and convenience of having all amenities at our fingertips. With the ability to book daily (or twice daily) cleaning service, the entire family feels pampered and can truly relax. No need for valet service as our vehicles are just outside the front door and the beach is just a 3 min drive through the gated community. On Island staff are available and responsive to any questions or concerns. Truly a remarkable way to holiday.
A wonderful venue for a wonderful trip
The Pineapple Pavilion is a wonderful estate that catered beautifully for our requirements. Situated on the golf course, the house was well immaculate, well furnished and well situated. With house was layed out well for 8 adults, each bedroom had access to an ensuite for seperate bathroom. The two master suites are something else :)

We have a VERY LONG LIST of problems:
-safe did not work ever
-blender did not work
-not all lights worked
-broken BBQ tool
-dirty underwear found
-broken dining room door
-stero system did not work as advertised
-did not get grocery list when we arrived as we paid for
-were not greeted as promised
-place was dirty with bug stains on the floor
-did not get maid service the day requested
-not all outside lights worked
-garbage from previous renter was not emptied during our stay
-the landscaping was overgrown and bird dirt on cars every day

Excellent time at Pineapple Pavilion
Overall the villa was perfect for our needs. We had 4 couples, so the 4 bedrooms each with their own ensuite was perfect. The open concept livingroom, kitchen and dining room works very well. We enjoyed the patio/pool area when we weren't at the beach to relax and have some fun in the pool. The villa was fully stocked with anything you'd need including beach towels which was very handy.
The only downside were the number of insects in the villa, which isn't uncommon in trpocial climates and the amount of wind, which wasn't always a bad thing in the heat!
